Role overview
MOBCO Group is hiring a Logistics Engineer to support a project team in Riyadh. This role is suited to someone highly structured, proactive, and experienced in planning and coordinating logistics for major construction work. The position focuses on keeping site operations running smoothly by managing deliveries, equipment movement, material storage, and the day-to-day flow of resources needed for uninterrupted progress.
What you will do
- Create and roll out logistics plans in close coordination with project management and construction teams.
- Manage how materials, equipment, and other resources are moved, stored, and distributed across the project site.
- Oversee site entry points, traffic movement, delivery timing, and logistics routes.
- Work with suppliers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to make sure materials and equipment arrive on time.
- Build logistics schedules that stay aligned with the construction programme.
- Spot and solve logistics-related issues that could slow down the project.
- Track inventory levels and organize material storage zones within the site.
- Maintain compliance with project safety rules and site logistics procedures.
- Coordinate crane usage, equipment deployment, and transport needs.
- Communicate with local authorities and other stakeholders when permits, access approvals, or similar logistics clearances are needed.
- Prepare reports on logistics activity, progress, and resource usage.
- Help project teams improve site efficiency and overall logistics performance.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 7 and 10 years of experience in construction logistics engineering.
- Background in large-scale or mega construction projects.
- Solid knowledge of construction logistics, materials control, and site coordination.
- Practical experience in logistics planning, transportation coordination, and resource allocation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and logistics management systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Availability to start immediately or after a brief notice period.
