About the Role
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) delivers integrated, high-value support across the full asset lifecycle. Its offering spans licensed process technologies, advisory expertise, deep technical know-how, energy transition solutions, advanced design services, and smart tools that help improve both planned and operating assets.
KBR is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent for an HDPE plant in Jubail, with this opportunity limited to Saudi nationals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contractor-executed maintenance work across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines for the HDPE plant, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance execution records in the CMMS platform.
- Assist the Planning and Scheduling Supervisor with day-to-day coordination.
- Work with the Reliability team on bad actor investigations and initiatives to improve plant reliability.
- Draft weekly maintenance summaries and share progress updates in maintenance review meetings.
- Direct routine maintenance operations to keep equipment available and dependable.
- Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for HDPE process assets.
- Support competency development through task-focused training in collaboration with the Head of HR.
- Ensure all maintenance work follows strict HSE requirements.
- Contribute to shutdowns, turnarounds, and major overhauls so they are completed safely and on schedule.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical maintenance for candidates with a high school qualification.
- At least 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical maintenance for candidates with a diploma.
- At least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical maintenance for candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
- Saudi nationality is mandatory.
- Prior exposure to HDPE, polyolefin, or polymer production facilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of maintenance contract administration, safety requirements, and refinery/petrochemical maintenance practices.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in large-scale organizations.
- Sound judgment under pressure with the ability to solve operational problems.
- Strategic mindset and willingness to adopt new approaches.
- Capable of delivering business outcomes in a multicultural workplace.
