Maintenance Planner

Job summary

This role focuses on planning, scheduling, and controlling preventive maintenance activities for mobile equipment. The goal is to make sure the right labor, spare parts, materials, and tools are available and used efficiently, while keeping equipment information up to date so it remains in optimal operating condition.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the maintenance schedule for mobile equipment.
• Share the preventive maintenance plan with the personnel responsible for execution.
• Support the handover of preventive maintenance tasks to external service providers.
• Confirm that the required spare parts, labor, and tools are ready for planned maintenance work.
• Work with the maintenance manager to schedule shutdowns and special maintenance activities for equipment.
• Check that equipment documentation is complete and properly organized.
• Help manage equipment documents and operating rules.
• Enter and update mobile equipment hour-meter readings in the JD Edwards system.
• Prepare and close work orders for preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure all records are accurately captured in the system.

Role challenges

The position requires consistent execution of scheduled preventive maintenance, reporting on maintenance costs and statistics, and tracking the location of mobile equipment.

Skills and knowledge required

Ideal candidates should have an engineering background, be comfortable working in a maintenance planning environment, and have solid handling of Excel and maintenance systems.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning is preferred.
