Role Overview
The Marketing Coordinator will help plan and deliver approved marketing initiatives for The Sporting Globe, supporting the wider marketing strategy. This position is important in strengthening brand value, boosting sales, and contributing to profit growth across the venue network. The role acts as the link between planning and delivery, turning campaigns and activations into action while supporting the brand and broader business teams.
Campaign Delivery and Execution
- Assist with the creation and rollout of consumer promotions, marketing campaigns, and events aligned to the marketing plan.
- Contribute input for creative, media, PR, and agency briefs.
- Help deliver venue activations, live events, and in-venue campaign experiences.
- Support the launch of new venues, refurbishments, and menu rollouts from setup through launch communication and post-launch reporting.
- Make sure guest-facing execution across venues stays aligned with brand standards.
Marketing Operations and Coordination
- Keep the POS calendar up to date and coordinate repeat ordering for venue marketing collateral.
- Create internal updates so the wider business stays informed about campaigns and launches.
- Assist venue managers, franchise partners, and business development managers with everyday marketing requests.
- Manage routine updates across digital channels, including the website CMS, app, digital signage, Footy Tipping, and other consumer platforms.
- Coordinate promotional activity around public holidays and major calendar events, including surcharge handling.
Sports, Streaming and Live Event Coordination
- Maintain the national live sport broadcast calendar covering UFC, AFL/NRL, EPL, NFL, and other priority competitions.
- Identify key matches and events for national marketing focus, classify major versus secondary events, and manage venue opt-ins.
- Oversee sport subscription and pay-per-view administration, including venue subscriptions, operations coordination, and feed issue troubleshooting.
- Update landing pages on the website and app for major matches, ensuring correct game times and timezone settings.
- Track event attendance, sales lift, and bookings, then share insights to improve future planning.
Budget, Administration and Insights
- Support marketing budget reconciliation by tracking, coding, and processing invoices.
- Measure the performance of campaigns and menu launches against agreed KPIs and contribute recommendations after each campaign.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing activity, supplier interactions, and approvals.
- Monitor competitors and industry trends and share observations that help keep the business competitive.
What You Need
- 2 to 3 years of marketing experience, ideally in hospitality, FMCG, or another consumer-facing brand.
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or a related discipline.
- Proven experience supporting campaigns through all stages, with strong attention to detail and solid execution skills.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build working relationships across head office, venues, and external partners.
- Excellent organisation skills, the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and a proactive approach in a busy environment.
- A genuine interest in sport, hospitality, and consumer brands is an advantage.

Additional Information
This is a full-time position based in Melbourne. The usual schedule is Monday to Friday, although some evening or weekend work may be required. Occasional interstate or regional travel may also be part of the role.
