Role overview
We are seeking a Merchandiser & Planner for our Ludhiana, Punjab office. The role is suited to someone who is highly detail-driven, comfortable working with data, and experienced in planning products and inventory to support business performance.
The position is with Chkokko and requires a background in merchandise planning, stock management, sales projections, and category-level performance review.
Compensation
The offered CTC is up to ₹50,000 per month.
Key responsibilities
- Build and implement merchandising plans based on sales patterns, production schedules, and seasonal demand.
- Handle product assortment decisions, category balance, and pricing approaches.
- Study sales movements, demand estimates, and inventory position to guide planning.
- Prepare weekly and monthly plans for sales and stock.
- Keep inventory at healthy levels to avoid both shortages and excess stock.
- Track product-level performance and suggest replenishment or markdown actions when needed.
- Compile MIS reports covering sales, margins, inventory, and category performance.
- Work closely with operations, marketing, logistics, procurement, and production functions.
- Assist with promotional activities and help ensure products are available on time across all channels.
Candidate profile
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising, planning, retail, or fashion.
- Strong ability to analyze data and forecast demand accurately.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and reporting tools.
- Sound understanding of merchandising workflows and inventory control.
