PRN Diagnostic Imaging Tech

Job purpose

LifeCare Hospitals of North Texas is looking for a Diagnostic Imaging Tech to deliver diagnostic imaging services to patients. The role covers both standard radiographic imaging and fluoroscopy, and it calls for strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, radiation protection, pathology, medical language, and exposure techniques to support safe, accurate, high-quality imaging.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and record relevant patient and procedure information before imaging begins so the examination is properly prepared.
• Recognize issues or special requirements related to the procedure and apply the appropriate exam protocol while keeping patient safety and scan quality in mind.
• Review completed images for correct positioning, anatomy coverage, and diagnostic clarity.
• Use diagnostic imaging equipment properly and safely while following all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with physicians and other healthcare staff to support coordinated patient care and better treatment outcomes.
• Keep procedure documentation accurate, complete, and in line with healthcare recordkeeping standards and compliance rules.
