Role Overview
AnnieMac Home Mortgage is seeking a Processor to support the end-to-end handling of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans in line with company, investor, and insurer requirements. This role is intended for someone with direct mortgage industry experience and will work under Operations Management.
Core Duties
- Enter incoming loan information into the loan origination system so files can move forward for initial submission.
- Keep borrowers, loan originators, underwriters, realtors, and builders informed throughout the loan process, while also monitoring incoming mail and supporting documents needed for verification and approval.
- Record all incoming updates in the loan origination system for tracking.
- Register loans and secure FHA and VA identification numbers when needed.
- Arrange credit reports and private mortgage insurance through approved vendors as required for approval.
- Request, review, and approve appraisal-related paperwork from approved appraisers in accordance with company and investor standards.
- Assemble loans for closing by collecting the documents needed to satisfy underwriting conditions and any required clear or satisfactory certifications.
- Notify the Closing Department of scheduled closings and provide the file at least 48 hours before the closing date.
- Deliver a complete closing package to the Closing Department so the approved credit package contains all required information.
- Complete all mandatory company training within the required timeframe.
Closing Readiness Expectations
- Participate in productive weekly or regularly scheduled status calls.
- Join the weekly pipeline meeting with other processors.
- Conduct a pre-close checklist with the client 48 hours before closing.
- Attend the closing when the loan originator is unavailable.
- Obtain all outstanding conditions.
Client Support Responsibilities
- Work with underwriting and investor rules to evaluate and research client situations.
- Help loan originators return borrower calls for the purpose of arranging only in-person appointments.
- Do not discuss loan terms during callback conversations.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry, ideally in loan processing.
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Strong communication skills.
- For remote work, a minimum internet speed of 20 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload is required.
