Role overview
The Procurement Officer will help ensure purchasing activities are handled accurately and on time, supporting smooth processing of purchase orders and related transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of procurement guides, templates, tools, and reference materials.
- Prepare recurring reports on supplier and contract performance against agreed standards to support tracking and decision-making.
- Develop and sustain positive working relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assess suppliers, supply options, and pricing alternatives to identify the best value.
- Negotiate favorable pricing and supply agreements in line with corporate procurement guidelines and business requirements.
- Verify that purchased products and supplies satisfy the quality standards requested by internal stakeholders.
- Keep supplier records current, including qualifications, delivery timelines, and potential future development information.
- Gather and organize procurement-related data in coordination with other stakeholders.
- Support supplier pre-qualification activities according to procurement policy.
- Assist in system development efforts with stakeholders whenever needed.
- Handle other tasks or assignments as directed by management from time to time.
- Perform cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required, such as Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Commerce.
The role requires 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
Work location
This is an onsite position in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
