About the role
This role sits within Google Cloud and focuses on coordinating complex, cross-functional work that supports procurement operations and supply chain execution. The position is centered on improving how the business buys, plans, tracks, and resolves issues across suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders. You will help drive operational efficiency, cost control, and delivery performance across multiple functions.
Google Cloud supports organizations in more than 200 countries and territories with enterprise-grade technology and digital transformation solutions. The work involves collaborating across offices, time zones, and teams to keep programs moving, identify risks early, and ensure clear communication through every stage of execution.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in program management or project management.
- Hands-on exposure to supply chain management, procurement, cost negotiations, MRP investigations, and data analysis.
Preferred qualifications
- An MBA or a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field, with supply chain as a key focus.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet tools, SQL, and scripting.
- Background in forecasting, planning, supply chain operations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical judgment, investigation skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong interest in automation and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Run procurement workflows so purchasing is completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner, while coordinating closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Design and strengthen spend analytics capabilities, using advanced data analysis to support executive decisions and improve operating efficiency. Help reduce costs through price negotiations, alternate sourcing, and better procurement practices.
- Handle supplier and OEM escalations related to pricing, lead times, and supply shortages. Oversee RFQ execution, order releases, hub deliveries, analysis of late shipments, and resolution of invoice issues.
- Lead ongoing improvement efforts for planning analysis and MRP investigations, with a focus on better delivery performance, fewer overdue orders, stronger shortage control, cleaner invoicing, and improved supplier management.
- Coordinate cross-functional program activities needed for supplier onboarding and procurement execution across internal and external stakeholders.
