Role overview

An organization is looking for a contract Retail Operations Manager to support a client’s retail business from anywhere. The role centers on keeping store operations running smoothly, meeting compliance standards, and improving the customer experience. You will also work with teams across functions to make sure day-to-day execution supports wider business goals.

What you'll do

Oversee and improve core store processes such as inventory control, staffing coordination, and customer service delivery.
Track important business metrics, including sales performance, customer traffic, and stock turnover, and share findings through reports.
Create and refine operating guidelines and procedures that strengthen performance and support compliance needs.
Work closely with regional leadership to keep store activity aligned with overall strategy.
Coach and support store employees so they follow operational standards and best practices.

Skills and qualifications

Prior experience in retail operations management or a closely related area is required.
Hands-on knowledge of retail management platforms and POS systems is needed.
Strong ability to analyze sales figures and operational data is essential.
You should be comfortable leading teams and building capability in a busy retail setting.
Understanding of inventory control and supply chain coordination is an advantage.
