Role Overview

The organization is hiring a Robotics Data Collector to help gather high-quality robotics and egocentric data for AI model training. This position is hands-on and involves working with robotic platforms, sensors, and controlled real-world setups to capture video, motion, and interaction data. The role is ideal for someone who is detail-focused, technically curious, and comfortable operating in lab-based and structured field environments.

Data Collection Work

• Capture robotics and first-person datasets using handheld, head-mounted, and robot-mounted cameras.
• Work with sensing tools such as IMUs, depth cameras, and similar recording equipment.
• Carry out collection tasks according to defined scenarios and operating procedures.
• Maintain consistency and precision while recording actions, interactions, and environmental conditions.

Robotics and Equipment Support

• Assist with operating humanoid or mobile robotic systems during collection sessions.
• Help prepare and calibrate cameras, sensors, and recording systems.
• Monitor hardware during experiments to keep equipment functioning correctly.

Data Review and Quality Control

• Check captured data for completeness, clarity, and accuracy.
• Spot and report issues such as missing files, recording failures, or sensor misalignment.
• Follow quality standards so the data is suitable for AI training.

Experiment Preparation and Execution

• Set up environments for collection sessions.
• Support tasks involving object manipulation, navigation, and human-robot interaction recordings.
• Follow detailed instructions to reproduce realistic use cases.

Documentation, Safety, and Compliance

• Track session details, equipment usage, and any issues encountered.
• Share feedback to improve collection workflows and protocols.
• Observe lab safety practices and handle robotics equipment carefully.
• Respect data privacy and security requirements throughout all work.

Experience and Skills

The role calls for 0–3+ years of experience in data collection, field operations, lab settings, or other technical and hardware-oriented work. Candidates should be comfortable using cameras, sensors, recording devices, and basic computer tools, and should be able to follow instructions accurately with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Background

Helpful experience includes working with robotics hardware or lab environments, collecting egocentric or first-person data, and handling computer vision or AI-related datasets. A basic understanding of robotics concepts, sensors, and data recording tools is an advantage.
