Role Overview
PADIPS Private Limited, a garments manufacturing company in Tiruppur, is looking for a Sampling Merchandiser with strong fashion technology and sampling experience to manage sample development and coordination across teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify, arrange, and coordinate the fabrics, trims, and other accessories needed for sample creation.
- Drive the development of product samples in line with buyer specifications and expectations.
- Track sample production closely so that agreed timelines are consistently achieved.
- Review buyer feedback on dispatched samples and ensure revisions are completed accurately.
- Assist with cost estimation by coordinating material usage calculations and sample costing details.
- Keep communication flowing smoothly between merchandising, production, and quality teams.
- Check buyer emails for comments and updates, then conduct floor discussions with pattern masters to communicate necessary changes.
- Manage time effectively and monitor sample approvals and follow-up status.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Technology is preferred.
- Working knowledge of garment manufacturing and sample-making workflows.
- Good understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
