Role overview

At Hard Rock Cafe in Cologne, the server plays a central role in shaping the guest experience during the most important moments of the visit. This position is more than table service: it combines hospitality, guidance, entertainment, product knowledge, and a strong sense of the brand’s atmosphere.

Core duties

• Take guest orders accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables.
• Handle cash and other payment methods with care and accuracy.
• Process sales through the electronic point-of-sale system.
• Check guest age when someone appears under 30 years old.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of all menu items and products.
• Use proven suggestive selling techniques to increase sales.
• Answer guest questions politely and correctly.
• Meet guest requests promptly and repeatedly check satisfaction during the visit.
• Keep the bar and service area clean and well organized, including clearing and setting tables.
• Set up and close down the work area, complete side work, and carry out cleaning tasks such as refilling condiments and cleaning ashtrays.
• Know all table and station numbers.
• Guide guests around the different areas of the restaurant.
• Communicate effectively with fellow team members.
• Create memorable Hard Rock Cafe experiences for guests.
• Provide guest service in line with the Hard Rock spirit.
