Position Summary
Two Sigma is a quantitative investment management and trading firm that uses a scientific approach to investing. Its work blends advanced technology, artificial intelligence, data science, and quantitative research with careful human analysis to identify market opportunities and generate alpha for investors.
The engineering, quantitative research, and data science teams work beyond conventional methods to test ideas and design inventive solutions for some of the most challenging economic problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Use software engineering to uncover value within large and complex datasets.
- Design, build, and support dependable data pipelines that process more than 30TB of data every day.
- Develop internal infrastructure that supports the company’s software engineering teams.
- Create and maintain analysis tools used by quantitative researchers.
- Contribute to premier trading systems.
- Build technology that strengthens trading operations and improves productivity, collaboration, and risk control across the organization.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with honours in a relevant field is required.
- At least 1 year of experience is required, with 5 to 10 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Java or another JVM language, Python, C, or C++.
- Exceptional programming ability.
- Proven experience working on large-scale systems.
