Role Overview
A well-established engineering consultancy in Doha is hiring Structural Engineers from the Philippines who are willing to consider overseas work in Qatar. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates who are selected.
The role focuses on structural analysis and detailed design for reinforced concrete and steel building structures, with an emphasis on delivering safe, efficient, and fully compliant solutions for major projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out analysis and design work for reinforced concrete buildings, including tall structures of 20 or more storeys.
- Prepare, check, and refine structural calculations, analytical models, and design documentation.
- Use CSI tools such as ETABS and SAFE to model and assess structural systems.
- Produce structural drawings and work closely with drafting teams to keep design outputs aligned.
- Collaborate with architecture, MEP, and other project disciplines to ensure coordinated designs.
- Evaluate and improve RC and steel structural systems for practicality, efficiency, and ease of construction.
- Confirm that all designs meet international standards and relevant local authority requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in structural design consultancy is expected.
- Strong hands-on background in large-scale reinforced concrete projects, especially high-rise buildings of 20+ floors.
- Proficiency in ETABS and SAFE is necessary.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is expected.
- Experience working with multiple disciplines on the same project is important.
- Ability to review steel structural systems is required.
- Prior GCC exposure will be considered an advantage.
