Job Overview
TCS is looking for a Support Services Specialist in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time role focused on hands-on IT support, endpoint management, and workplace technology assistance.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face technical support for incidents and requests that need physical intervention.
- Troubleshoot operating systems on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, including Android and iOS.
- Set up, configure, install, and replace hardware and workplace devices.
- Carry out break-fix support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and related equipment.
- Handle IMAC work covering install, move, add, and change tasks.
- Resolve issues that cannot be fixed remotely by the service desk.
- Provide priority support for VIP users and coordinate closely to meet their needs.
- Support meeting rooms, audiovisual setups, and event-related IT requirements.
- Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and third-party service providers when needed.
- Manage walk-in support activities such as password resets, device changes, and onboarding/offboarding assistance.
- Support LAN, Wi-Fi, printer, and peripheral issues through onsite assistance.
- Maintain asset records, stock logs, and reconciliation of inventory.
- Assist with user joining, transfers, and exit processes.
- Issue loaner equipment and manage spare devices during repair situations.
- Spot recurring issues and contribute to knowledge articles and shift-left improvements.
- Share timely updates on progress and expected resolution with users.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage and support operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Practical experience with IMAC and endpoint lifecycle activities.
- Exposure to ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of audiovisual and meeting room support systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and knowledge-sharing skills.
Education and Certifications
A diploma in Computer Science or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required. Preferred certifications include ITIL and MS/CCNA credentials.
