About the Internship
This internship at NeoManav Robotics Private Limited offers hands-on experience operating and managing robotic systems in various settings including labs, demonstrations, and field deployments. The role requires setting up and handling robots along with the associated hardware such as computers, cameras, sensors, and networking devices.
Responsibilities
- Operate robotic systems during experimental testing, demonstrations, and on-site deployments.
- Configure robots and related hardware including computers, sensors, and cameras.
- Initiate and supervise robot applications utilizing Linux and the Robot Operating System (ROS).
- Execute Python scripts for the purposes of robot operation, testing, data gathering, and system supervision.
- Track ROS nodes, topics, services, system logs, sensor outputs, and overall system condition.
- Detect and resolve fundamental issues relating to hardware, software, network connectivity, and configuration.
- Document operational metrics, test outcomes, system faults, and observations from deployments.
- Adhere strictly to established operational protocols and safety guidelines for robotic equipment.
- Assist engineers with tasks including robot integration, calibration, validation, and debugging.
- Handle data transfer, manage file organization, maintain system backups, and prepare daily reports.
- Be prepared to travel to factories or external locations for deployment and data collection when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with technical staff, operators, and customers at deployment sites.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Linux operating system, including command-line use, file system management, process control, networking, and software installation.
- Operational knowledge of ROS or ROS 2 frameworks.
- Strong skills in Python programming.
- Basic understanding of robotic devices, sensors, actuators, cameras, and communications systems.
- Ability to read system and application logs, perform error analysis, and systematically troubleshoot issues.
- Comfort working physically with robotic hardware in laboratory or industrial settings.
- Willingness to work shifts and six days per week as per operational needs.
- Open to travel for fieldwork and deployments when assigned.
Additional Information
- Interns must be available for a full-time, in-office experience spanning 2 months, with a start date between July 10, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
- Work schedule demands availability for six days weekly and shift work flexibility.
- Internship is located onsite in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Compensation and Perks
