Where you'll work
직무 설명
Role overview
The Creative Team sits within the Communications Program and is focused on producing high-quality content that is accessible, strategically aligned and suited to the Bureau’s communication channels.
This position is for a Technical Videographer who will take ownership of complex video projects from start to finish. The work spans scripting, filming, directing and editing, with an emphasis on delivering accurate, timely and engaging multimedia content for both planned campaigns and urgent operational updates such as severe weather messaging.
The content produced may range from educational stories about Australia’s climate to immediate, news-driven updates when weather events require fast communication.
You will work with multidisciplinary stakeholders, often with limited day-to-day direction, while offering specialist technical input, helping shape video planning and innovation, and ensuring all outputs reflect the Bureau’s brand, accessibility expectations and broader strategic goals.
As a technical specialist with hands-on experience in live television broadcast production, streaming platforms and camera work, you should be confident working with talent and bringing out strong performances. You will also need to stay calm under pressure, diagnose issues quickly and have practical backup plans ready when needed.
Working hours and operational requirements
Because the role supports a 24/7 news environment, you will need to be available outside normal business hours and work weekends on a regular basis. A possible part of the role may include producing a Bureau weather segment for ABC’s Landline program on Sunday mornings.
