About the Role
This position supports gateway operations within a bonded warehouse, with a strong focus on meeting established service standards and KPIs. The role involves accurate scanning in and out of bonded shipments, along with the careful handling, placement, and daily tracking of cargo.
What You’ll Do
- Support recovery of inbound materials from the ground handling agent when required.
- Load and unload consignments for breakbulk operations.
- Scan shipments correctly into the bonded warehouse.
- Identify pieces belonging to the same HAWB and group them accordingly.
- Help manage exception cases such as damaged or temperature-sensitive shipments.
- Move shipments to the correct location within the bond.
- Support physical checks carried out by local authorities, including Customs, Police, and other regulators.
- Make sure all inspected shipments are properly recorded and scanned according to company procedures.
- Escalate any irregularities promptly to the direct supervisor and relevant managers.
- Release shipments only after valid and complete customs documentation has been presented.
- For shipments needing clearance from other regulatory bodies, release them only once the required approvals are in place.
- Take part in regular and daily bond inventory activities.
- Report any stock differences or irregularities found during inventory.
- Prepare and share ageing reports regularly or daily with operations management and other stakeholders.
- Check and submit gate passes for every shipment that is released.
- Keep Bond ACA systems updated with accurate information in a timely manner.
- Answer queries from other functions with clear and precise information.
- Maintain files and records related to bond operations in the correct folders.
- Ensure documents are easy to access when requested by other teams.
- Follow local authority regulations and represent the company as a dependable business partner.
- Adhere to GSOP procedures, as well as the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics.
- Coordinate with other departments or authorities when needed to resolve issues.
- Raise issues promptly to the appropriate senior level and escalate when necessary.
- Be willing to work beyond standard office hours and on public holidays.
- Participate in e-learning modules and CIS training programs.
