Role overview
Hilti Canada is looking for an Account Manager to support customers in Cornwall, Ontario and the surrounding territory, including Smith Falls and Arnprior. In this role, you will own a portfolio of customer accounts, plan your own field schedule, and focus on helping construction customers improve productivity, safety, and sustainability. Success in the position comes from building lasting relationships, carrying out product demonstrations, and providing knowledgeable consultation in the field.
What you will do
- Develop and strengthen customer partnerships by staying in regular contact, responding quickly to opportunities, and creating long-term account value.
- Organize your day and territory coverage using time-and-territory management, including visits to jobsites and customer offices, to improve sales results.
- Act as a knowledgeable Hilti representative in the market by presenting the brand and offering technical guidance to customers.
- Use Salesforce to log customer interactions, track activity, and support reporting tied to sales performance.
What you need to bring
- At least 3 years of outside sales experience, ideally in a target-driven environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach to customer interaction, product demonstrations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- A valid driver’s license, as a company vehicle will be provided for the role.
- Strong skills in planning territory coverage and managing time effectively.
- The ability to work on construction sites, including walking uneven surfaces, climbing scaffolding, and lifting up to 65 pounds.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule as business needs change.
- Willingness to travel to the United States for initial training; any required travel visa must be arranged by the candidate before applying.
- High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000, with target bonus potential of $13,000 to $18,000. Final compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications, licensing, and location. Hilti also offers uncapped bonus potential and a strong benefits package.

Work environment and conditions
This position combines home office work, meetings, driving a company vehicle for customer visits, and regular jobsite calls. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Field work can involve walking on uneven ground, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs in all seasons. Some construction sites may expose you to loud noise, so hearing protection is strongly recommended and may be required in certain locations.
Safety and physical requirements
When visiting jobsites, you must wear the required protective equipment: hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and long pants. You will also need to follow all safety rules set by Hilti, OSHA, and general contractors. The role requires the ability to walk on construction projects, climb ladders and scaffolding, and lift and carry materials.
