Role overview
Boots UK is hiring a Customer Advisor for its Stansted airport store. This position is based onsite and you will report to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. It is a strong option whether you are entering the workforce for the first time or bringing prior retail experience and want a fresh challenge. The role includes an hourly pay rate of £13.02, rising to as much as £15.10 in selected locations, with an increase after 6 months in the role.
What you'll do
Your day-to-day work may include supporting customers at the tills, giving product guidance, or helping in the back shop. You will play an active part in making the store run well and creating a positive customer experience.
- Welcome customers, understand what they need, answer their questions, and recommend suitable products or simple add-on items when helpful.
- Learn the available in-store offers and promotions and explain them clearly to shoppers.
- Keep the shop running smoothly by making sure products are well presented, assisting customers efficiently, and restocking items from deliveries.
- Work closely with the team to keep the store tidy, organised, and visually appealing.
- Receive award-winning training accredited by the Institute of Customer Service.
What you need
Boots provides full training for this position. The ideal candidate will work well in a busy setting, handle tasks at pace, communicate clearly, and listen carefully. A strong team mindset, attention to small details, and a genuine interest in helping customers are important. You should also be comfortable representing the Boots brand in a positive way.
For airside access, you must be able to provide 5 years of uninterrupted references covering the exact last 5 years. References must be day-specific, and any gap longer than 28 days needs an additional reference to cover that period.
Customer service experience is helpful, but it is not required.
