Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah for a Customs Clearance Supervisor. The role is focused on managing customs clearance workflows, making sure import and export shipments are handled accurately and on time, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. It also includes overseeing daily customs documentation activity, coordinating with relevant government and regulatory bodies, tracking team productivity, managing inventory-related tasks, responding to customs clearance queries from customers, and working in close partnership with supply chain and logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead customs clearance activities and ensure imports and exports are processed correctly and within required timelines.
- Maintain compliance with customs rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and oversee customs documentation for shipments.
- Coordinate with authorities and other stakeholders to support smooth clearance operations.
- Monitor team output and help improve operational efficiency.
- Support inventory control and tracking as part of the clearance process.
- Handle customer questions and concerns related to customs clearance.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to avoid delays and keep goods moving efficiently.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical and operations management abilities, solid inventory management skills, and excellent communication and customer service capability. A working understanding of customs regulations and procedures in the GCC region is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Prior exposure to customs operations or supply chain management is highly desirable.
