Role overview
The Data/Information Management Analyst is an entry-level professional role focused on handling routine data work with accuracy and sound judgment. The position calls for working knowledge of the procedures, systems, and processes used in the role, along with a basic grasp of the concepts behind the work. The person in this role will work within a team environment, understand how their work supports wider objectives, and make decisions based on factual analysis. The role has a limited direct effect on the business, with impact mainly restricted to the quality of the individual’s own output.
What you will do
- Support a range of data-related activities such as database administration, data analysis, data maintenance, data quality checks, and database management or design support.
- Carry out defined procedures, routine analysis, and report preparation as part of day-to-day work.
- Produce consistent deliverables while gradually building a broader understanding of the business context.
- Assess risk carefully in business decisions and help protect the organization, clients, and assets by following laws, rules, policies, and ethical standards, while escalating control issues clearly and transparently.
- Generate business insights that help leaders spot trends early and make faster strategic decisions.
- Create clear, detailed dashboards that help review portfolio health and highlight meaningful trends for business leaders.
- Analyze campaign performance using data, understand campaign setup, evaluate P&L impact, and help improve marketing spend efficiency.
- Support opportunity sizing by estimating the impact of regulatory, market, business, or strategic changes on the portfolio.
- Review existing processes regularly and suggest ways to make them more efficient.
- Move existing reports into more advanced business intelligence and reporting platforms.
What you need
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Ability to identify business problems, explain them clearly, and present practical solutions in a structured and simplified way.
- Hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience working with large datasets, multiple data sources, and data warehouse environments.
- Experience with Tableau is preferred.
- Background in Credit Cards and Retail Banking products is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good process and project management capability.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborative team-player mindset.
- Strong control orientation and risk awareness.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Customer service skills.
- Master’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
