Data Governance Manager

Role Overview

Websquads services is looking for a skilled and highly detail-focused Data Governance Manager to strengthen its team in the United Arab Emirates. The role is a full-time position based on-site, with hybrid working also available.

What You Will Do

• Create and roll out organization-wide frameworks, policies, and standards for governing data.
• Set up clear processes for data ownership, stewardship, quality control, and lifecycle handling.
• Make sure data practices comply with privacy laws, security requirements, and relevant industry rules.
• Drive initiatives to improve data quality and keep track of governance performance measures.
• Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to enhance data management approaches.
• Oversee programs related to metadata, master data, and data cataloging.
• Carry out governance reviews and suggest practical improvements to existing processes.
• Encourage company-wide adoption of data-driven practices and governance standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, or another closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or information management.
• Solid knowledge of governance frameworks, policy development, and compliance obligations.
• Hands-on exposure to data governance, metadata management, and data quality platforms or tools.
• Understanding of databases, data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Professional certifications in data management or governance will be considered an advantage.
