Data & Reporting Analyst (Power BI)

Role overview

Experis is recruiting a Data & Reporting Analyst with strong Power BI expertise for a transportation-sector client in Etobicoke, Ontario. This 12-month contract is expected to run onsite two to three days each week, with a strong possibility of extension. The hourly rate is $46 to $48, incorporated, and the client would like the selected person to begin as soon as possible.

The position is suited to someone who enjoys turning large, messy data sets into clear insights, dashboards, and reports that help teams make better operational and compliance decisions. You will partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to build reporting solutions that improve visibility across the organization.

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and support Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual displays.
• Gather data from Excel and other sources, then clean, analyze, and reshape it for reporting use.
• Develop charts, graphs, scorecards, KPIs, and other management reporting visuals.
• Spot patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities by reviewing data trends.
• Help create and update business process maps.
• Take part in business process mapping initiatives and related workshops.
• Support engineering work and operational improvement efforts.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver practical solutions.
• Provide broader reporting and analysis support whenever needed.

What the client is looking for

• Hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI, which is required.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
• Experience working with Excel and very large data sets.
• Ability to convert business needs into clear, useful visual reporting outputs.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management habits.
• Comfort working both on your own and as part of a team.
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.

Preferred background

• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma concepts in a manufacturing or service setting.
• Previous involvement in process improvement or business process mapping.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, trucking, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
