Role overview
This opportunity is for a Dentist to join a long-running and established practice in Whangārei, Northland. The clinic has been serving the community for more than 11 years, operates across 4 surgeries, and uses advanced dental technology in a busy, team-oriented environment. The role can suit someone seeking either full-time stability or part-time flexibility.

What the role involves
- Providing high-quality dental treatment to a varied and loyal patient base
- Communicating clearly with patients and presenting treatment plans confidently
- Building capability in areas of special clinical interest and broadening your scope of practice
- Working closely with a supportive team that values cooperation and strong patient outcomes
- Using modern systems and equipment such as intraoral cameras, TRIOS scanners, and CBCT

Candidate profile
The ideal applicant brings at least 1 year of clinical experience, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply. You should be comfortable working across a broad range of dental services, or be building that confidence, and be able to communicate effectively in a patient-first setting. A collaborative approach is important, along with the ability to work well in a close-knit practice.
Requirements and qualifications
- Registration with the New Zealand Dental Council
- A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, with new graduates also considered
- Confidence or growing confidence across a broad range of dental procedures
- Strong communication skills and a focus on patient care
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to contribute positively in a busy practice
- Passion for dentistry and patient wellbeing
- Ability to adapt and develop in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proactive relationship-building with patients for long-term care
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
