About the role
Tracc Civil is a well-established civil construction and earthmoving business operating from Bibra Lake, Western Australia, with work spread across the Perth metropolitan area. The company is looking for an Estimator to join its estimating function and support a broad mix of civil projects valued from $500,000 to $10 million. In this position, you will work alongside an experienced team to prepare accurate costings and help drive successful tender outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with the estimating team to develop detailed and reliable project estimates.
- Carry out quantity take-offs, issue quotation requests, and assemble bid submissions.
- Speak with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and confirm available resources.
- Support the preparation of estimates for a range of civil works, including underground services such as water reticulation, sewer, drainage, gas, power, and NBN.
- Assist with project handover activities and variation pricing when required.
- Attend site visits and inspections as needed.
What we're looking for
- A relevant professional qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- Strong background in estimating within the civil construction sector.
- Practical knowledge of earthworks, roadworks, services, sewer, drainage, and private services.
- The ability to factor in labour and plant availability, productivity, and procurement of materials and subcontracted services when building estimates.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with solid negotiation capability.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
