Facility Housekeeper

U-Haul is seeking organized and detail-oriented individuals to join their team as Facility Housekeepers in Bakersfield, CA. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and mopping floors in various areas such as storage units, hallways, and restrooms.
• Manage the disposal of trash and ensure waste areas are kept tidy.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, proactively requesting replenishment as needed.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by management to support facility operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated organizational skills are essential for managing tasks and supplies effectively.
• A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and responsibilities.
• Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and taking initiative.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position involves a moderate level of risk and discomfort, necessitating the use of safety precautions. You may be exposed to moving machinery, fumes, or chemicals, and will be required to wear protective gear such as masks, goggles, and gloves. The role demands significant physical exertion, including prolonged periods of standing, moving around the facility, reaching objects at various heights, and lifting/moving equipment up to 50lbs, with or without assistance.
