Role Overview

A permanent day-shift cleaner is needed to join the busy factory team at Seven Hills. This newly established position offers long-term stability, a collaborative team environment, and room for professional development. The role is central to keeping the production site clean, safe, and hygienic so daily manufacturing activities can run smoothly.

Shift and Team Arrangement

• Work begins sometime between 7:00 am and 8:00 am and ends between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
• The shift runs for 8.5 hours and the start time can be adjusted within the stated window.
• Every second Friday is a rostered day off.
• No overtime is anticipated.
• You will be part of a cleaning group of three, covering the office, factory, warehouse, and maintenance areas.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will keep production spaces, equipment, floors, walls, amenities, and work areas clean and sanitised. You will follow the required food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, including GMP and HACCP procedures, and use cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and appropriate way. The job also involves disposing of waste correctly, supporting production by maintaining a tidy and safe workplace, reporting hygiene or maintenance concerns, restocking consumables, emptying bins, replacing liners, and ensuring all cleaning tools are washed, sanitised, and stored properly. Accurate completion of cleaning logs, checklists, and sanitation records is also required, along with helping with spill response or emergency cleaning when needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar cleaning position or within a food-manufacturing environment. You should be physically capable of standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and repeating manual tasks throughout the shift. The role requires the ability to handle loads of up to 20 kg. Strong communication skills, a cooperative attitude, careful attention to detail, and dependable attendance are important.
