About the opportunity

This Financial Accountant position is an entry-level opportunity for someone eager to build technical accounting capability while contributing to a purpose-led business that supports independent pharmacies nationwide. You will partner closely with the Head of Finance and collaborate with teams across the business to maintain accurate reporting, strong controls, and healthy financial operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy and complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Carry out monthly variance analysis and assist with the annual budgeting cycle.
  • Help review, refine, and strengthen financial processes and internal controls.
  • Provide ad hoc commercial and analytical reporting for internal stakeholders.
  • Support corporate tax compliance, including GST, FBT, and income tax, and contribute to the annual audit process.
  • Develop productive relationships across internal teams and external contacts while supporting a positive, collaborative culture.

Skills and experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong focus on detail, accuracy, and data quality.
