Global Security Operations Center Manager

Role overview

This is a leadership opportunity with a partner organization based in the United States. The role is focused on reshaping a global security operations center into a strong, analytics-led, technology-driven capability that supports enterprise risk visibility, incident response, and resilience around the clock.

You will be responsible for bringing consistency to operations, strengthening governance through KPIs and SOPs, and driving ongoing improvements across a 24/7 global environment. The position also involves adopting modern tools such as AI, automation, and threat intelligence platforms to improve decision-making and response effectiveness. Success in this role depends on close coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and crisis management stakeholders across a complex global structure.

Key responsibilities

• Steer the redesign and enhancement of worldwide GSOC operations so the function operates with stronger performance and clear metrics.
• Create and roll out operational excellence plans that support broader risk and resilience objectives.
• Establish, align, and uphold global SOPs, KPIs, and process-control standards.
• Direct 24/7 monitoring, detection, triage, escalation, and incident response coordination.
• Oversee vendor partners and MSSP relationships to maintain quality and ensure operational fit.
• Connect physical and cyber threat intelligence capabilities to improve situational awareness.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis methods.
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly operational reviews and prepare performance reporting across GSOC activities.
• Develop a capable GSOC team and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and ownership.
• Work with cross-functional leaders on technology roadmaps and security transformation programs.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Operations, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in security operations, GSOC, risk, or command-center settings.
• Experience working in large global matrix organizations with distributed teams.
• A background in law enforcement, emergency management, defense, or public safety is preferred.
• Strong understanding of incident management, threat intelligence, and worldwide security monitoring.
• Hands-on experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement approaches.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and delivering operational change.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills in high-pressure situations.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PCI, APP, or PSP are considered an advantage.
