Role overview
Hypersonix Inc. is seeking a driven and capable Data Analyst to partner with the implementation team, customers, and data scientists. The role focuses on helping shape the data warehouse, building analytical dashboards, and supporting machine learning capabilities tailored to customer needs.
What you will do
- Convert business needs into analytical outputs such as dashboards and turn ML results into practical insights.
- Assist with exploring and profiling data, and collaborate with the data engineering team to design data models.
- Guide and mentor junior analysts so they can strengthen their skills.
- Work across teams to help deliver expected outcomes.
- Partner with data engineering and software engineering teams to validate data and reconcile it with client control totals.
- Coordinate with the data science team when needed to run analytical QA on model outputs.
- Review business requirement documents and work with product managers to clarify and refine requirements.
- Examine analytical results and prepare customer-facing insights.
- Use domain knowledge and data understanding to create intelligence dashboards and actionable findings.
Required skills and experience
- Strong SQL skills.
- Ability to pull and analyze data using Python, R, or a similar language, and work with large datasets to generate insights.
- Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
- Comfort interpreting statistical model results and translating data science outputs into dashboard-based insights.
- Experience building insightful dashboards with any BI tool.
- Self-directed approach with the ability to deliver work on time, within budget, and in scope, while collaborating as needed.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Preferred background
- Experience or familiarity with the e-commerce or retail domain is an advantage.
