Role Overview
The Munich Marriott City West in Munich is looking for a Kitchen Storekeeper to help keep kitchen inventory under control and support smooth coordination between Purchasing and the culinary team. This is a non-management, full-time role based on site at Landsberger Strasse 156, Munich, Bavaria, Germany, 80687.
The property is a large upscale hotel with 398 guest rooms and suites, nearly 5,000 sqm of public space, a conference center, the Assoluto Restaurant & Vineria with an open show kitchen, the Assoluto Deli, westhub Lounge & Bar, Cloud 6 rooftop terrace, and the M Club Lounge. The role plays an important part in supporting the hotel’s food and beverage operations through well-run receiving, storage, and issuing processes.
Key Duties
- Serve as the main link between Purchasing and kitchen operations.
- Accept deliveries and verify quality, quantity, temperature, and order compliance.
- Record all incoming goods according to the required standards and internal rules.
- Arrange and store products correctly and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Follow HACCP requirements and FIFO stock rotation practices at all times.
- Track expiry dates and maintain efficient stock movement.
- Assist with routine stocktaking and inventory counts.
- Keep the kitchen continuously supplied with needed items.
- Monitor par levels in storage areas and raise orders when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and clear organization across all storage spaces.
- Work closely with the Purchasing and Kitchen teams to support effective inventory management.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency and productivity within the assigned area.
Candidate Profile
The hotel is seeking someone with a strong sense of structure and quality who can keep inventory under control and work reliably in a fast-moving hospitality environment.
- Some initial experience in kitchen operations, stock control, logistics, hospitality, or gastronomy is preferred.
- Comfort with HACCP standards, FIFO procedures, and correct food storage is required.
- A careful, structured, and dependable approach to work is essential.
- You should be well organized and able to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong attention to quality is important.
- You should enjoy working across departments and being part of a team.
- A practical, can-do attitude is expected.
- Good command of both German and English is required.
- A valid work permit for Germany or the EU is mandatory.
