About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in aerospace programs to join our team in Bengaluru. This role involves developing detailed manufacturing processes, ensuring producibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality aerospace components and assemblies. You will be instrumental in creating work instructions, process plans, and standardizing manufacturing documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive Work Instructions, Work Plans, and Process Plans utilizing the DELMIA DM tool within the 3DExperience platform for the build sequence of aircraft components and assemblies.
- Conduct thorough process planning, methods planning, and producibility checks specifically for aerospace structures.
- Interpret complex Engineering Drawings, EBOM & MBOM, Task Lists, Build/Routing Sequences, and Process Flows to guide manufacturing operations.
- Generate and standardize Detail Work Statements (DWS), develop business cases, and champion process planning standardization across projects.
- Utilize DELMIA DM tool, the 3DX platform, and CATIA V5 extensively for all aerospace manufacturing engineering tasks.
- Engage with clients to fully grasp project scope, address inquiries, and ensure the timely delivery of superior manufacturing engineering deliverables.
- Liaise effectively with offshore teams, provide guidance to fellow engineers, and uphold adherence to established aerospace manufacturing standards.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering (ME) activities, specifically within aerospace programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in Aircraft life cycle, Fuselage, and Systems.
- Proficiency in using DELMIA, the 3DX platform, CATIA V5, and standard MS Office applications.
- Solid understanding of Aerospace industry standards and compliance mandates.
- Experience with both metallic and composite aero structures/components is essential.
- Familiarity with CAD tools like CATIA V5 and PLM tools such as ENOVIA is expected.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities are necessary for effective customer engagement and team coordination.
