About the Role

The Obama Foundation is looking for a Marketing Associate to join its External Affairs team and help bring the organization’s brand and stories to life. In this position, you will handle day-to-day marketing operations across digital and experiential channels, making sure content shared through email, the website, and on-site screens stays accurate, polished, and engaging. The role supports the broader effort to turn interest into visits, and visitors into long-term supporters and advocates, while contributing to the experience at the Obama Presidential Center.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the main editor for digital signage content at the Obama Presidential Center, including preparing, editing, and publishing slides and playlists in the content management system while coordinating with designers when new creative assets are needed.
  • Coordinate website update requests so content remains timely, accurate, and aligned with brand standards, while supporting performance improvements through experimentation and collaboration across owned and paid channels.
  • Support marketing and creative teams with project coordination tasks, including maintaining Asana workflows and preparing agendas in partnership with Strategy & Operations.
  • Track and manage deliverables for major marketing initiatives, making sure timelines, review cycles, internal alignment, and final asset delivery stay on schedule.
  • Build and launch email campaigns from start to finish in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including content creation, testing, approvals, audience selection, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Support experiential marketing efforts such as parades, convenings, and brand activations by helping with event coordination, on-site presence, and digital integration.
  • Help manage centralized contract workflows and monitor budget spending tied to external marketing vendors.
  • Oversee the inventory, organization, and distribution of branded materials for internal and external use.

  • A track record of producing measurable outcomes and a clear focus on impact.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and turn it into practical recommendations.
  • Capability to stay organized, take ownership, and manage several priorities at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong attention to detail.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $59,755 to $74,670.
