About the Organization

Role Overview

The Housing Assistant will be part of the USTA Training Center Operations team and will help maintain a safe, organized, and encouraging environment for student-athletes at the facility in Orlando, Florida.

Key Duties

  • Carry out facility rules and procedures as instructed by the Director of Operations, Player Development.
  • Oversee athletes between the ages of 13 and 18 and observe lodge activity during scheduled shifts.
  • Help run off-court Life Skills programming for both resident and non-resident athletes.
  • Handle guest access to the Player Development facility, including coordination of check-ins for players and visitors.
  • Work alongside the Resident Assistant to help create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere at the Training Center.
  • Develop supportive relationships with resident athletes and assist with their personal and academic needs.
  • Help keep Player Development spaces tidy through light housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Complete vehicle inspections before and after trips and fill out the required trip documentation.
  • Transport student-athletes, staff, and guests in USTA vehicles as assigned.
