  • Handle payroll calculations for items such as back pay, allowances, overtime, and termination pay.
  • Manage PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and other statutory deductions in line with required timelines.
  • Maintain WorkCover and other workers’ insurance records, including registrations, payroll changes, claim submissions, and insurer communications across all Cullen locations.
  • Carry out regular payroll audits and verify that leave accruals and entitlements are correct.
  • Complete month-end and year-end payroll finance tasks.

  • Handle payroll questions professionally, discreetly, and accurately.
  • Stay current with payroll legislation and regulatory updates that may affect the business.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated background managing full payroll administration and processing in a busy environment.
  • Strong capability with payroll systems plus Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to understand and apply Fair Work awards, agreements, and relevant employment laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, with the confidence to give constructive feedback and identify improvements when needed.
  • Comfortable working both collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and able to respond effectively to shifting priorities and workload changes.

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive pay package.
  • Work from a attractive office in central Melbourne.
  • Flexible hybrid setup combining home and Kew office work.
  • Employee Assistance Program available for both you and one family member.
  • Generous staff discounts, including family and friends.
  • Team events and wellbeing-focused initiatives.
