Payroll Processing Officer

Role overview

The Bureau of Meteorology is looking for a Payroll Processing Officer to join the Organisational Development Program within the Enterprise Services Group. In this role, you will support People Connect by delivering operational HR services and advice to employees across a workforce spread across multiple locations. The work is varied, engaging, and requires careful attention to detail.

What you will do

You will be part of the Bureau’s Payroll Team and handle payroll-related tasks linked to the organisation’s Enterprise Agreement. This includes processing employee entitlements in SAP HRMS, responding to employee queries, and preparing related correspondence and supporting documents.

Working style

This position calls for someone who can operate with a strong level of independence while consistently producing accurate results within required timeframes.

To perform well in this role, you should have hands-on experience with SAP HRMS and be able to read, understand, and apply employment conditions correctly.
