Role Summary

This position is for an experienced plumber to support the facilities management function in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The selected candidate will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing plumbing systems and related equipment throughout the property to help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for guests and employees. The role also includes handling maintenance requests, completing preventive upkeep, and working quickly and professionally to resolve issues.

Key Duties

• Carry out installation, fault-finding, repair, and maintenance work on plumbing networks, sanitary fixtures, and associated equipment in guest rooms, kitchens, washrooms, plant rooms, swimming pools, and staff facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing lines and sanitary fittings in line with the annual maintenance plan.
• Respond to maintenance orders and service calls without delay, identify the root cause of problems, and apply practical solutions.
• Inspect the property daily to detect plumbing issues and take immediate corrective measures.
• Track and note water and gas usage on energy monitoring charts to support facility efficiency efforts.
• Identify spare parts and consumable items needed and communicate them clearly and on time to the storekeeper.
• Work closely with other maintenance specialists, such as general mechanics, boiler technicians, and refrigeration technicians, to keep operations running smoothly.
• Keep clear and accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety procedures, construction standards, and legal requirements while carrying out plumbing tasks.
• Take part in emergency response procedures and support safety-related initiatives across the facility.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A valid plumbing licence and certification accepted in the United Arab Emirates.
• Practical experience in installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems.
• Solid understanding of current plumbing systems, sanitary fixtures, and water supply networks.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A careful, dependable, and highly responsible approach to work.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance methods and an awareness of energy efficiency.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in hospitality, resort, or commercial property maintenance.
• Exposure to pool maintenance and water treatment systems.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Extra qualifications in gas fitting or advanced plumbing specialisations.
• Experience with energy-use tracking and sustainability practices.
