Project Coordinator

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Project Coordinator supporting project managers and engineering teams. The role centers on schedule coordination, progress tracking, reporting, resource forecasting, and keeping project work aligned with established management standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project managers by watching schedule progress, tracking core performance measures, preparing reports, and maintaining alignment with project management standards.
• Review project information to spot patterns and trends, then build detailed updates and presentations covering status, risks, and open issues using data-backed insights.
• Handle changes to the overall engineering schedule by working with the project controls function and helping drive approvals for new or changing engineering activities in line with scheduling rules.
• Break high-level engineering work into detailed activity schedules for multiple design teams.
• Check and track team assignments, support engineering resource leveling over time, and produce bi-monthly resource forecasts while coordinating input and buy-in from stakeholders and resource managers.
• Create, improve, and maintain standard design activity sequences for future design phases and procurement planning, including detailed versions for specific sequence types such as procurements or integrated analyses.
• Manage detailed schedule logic ties inside design teams and across related teams, and maintain milestone alignment with task activities.
• Collect status updates from design teams, update reporting channels, give periodic updates to engineering leaders, and highlight resource or timing bottlenecks.

Candidate profile

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited university, plus at least 4 years of direct experience with project coordination; engineering or nuclear background is preferred.
• Strong capability in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data with appropriate tools and methods.
• Ability to identify meaningful patterns, trends, and insights that support decisions.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• Background in engineering project management or direct engineering activity coordination.
• Solid understanding of technical schedule management, including reporting, schedule creation, logic sequences, fragnets, and resource forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Exposure to Atlassian products such as Confluence and JIRA is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the NRC 10CFR50 licensing process is helpful but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication, organization, and complexity-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Must be self-directed and able to coordinate cross-functional work with limited supervision.
• Comfortable managing projects with multiple competing objectives and design constraints, including resolving priority conflicts.
• High level of integrity, openness, respect, and teamwork orientation.

Job details

This is a contract role with a pay range of $52 to $85 per hour, depending on candidate location, education, and experience. The position can be based in Bellevue, WA, Everett, WA, or performed fully remote. Travel requirements are minimal at 0-5%.
