About the Role
This position is focused on steering software delivery work for enterprise customers at Tier 1 and Tier 2 level across the DACH region, especially within Manufacturing and Retail. You will manage engagements from early planning to final delivery, working closely with cross-functional experts and fostering long-term client trust while helping generate strong business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee software development engagements from start to finish, with an emphasis on dependable delivery, quality, and measurable value.
- Take responsibility for the project’s scope, schedule, budget, risks, and final results.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by setting clear expectations and keeping communication open throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.
- Bring together architects, engineers, business analysts, QA teams, delivery leads, and other contributors to keep work aligned.
- Track financial progress for the project, including forecasts, billing, profitability, and overall delivery status.
- Strengthen delivery performance by spotting risks early, improving processes, and ensuring adherence to delivery standards.
- Support pre-sales efforts, planning, estimation, and project documentation whenever needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in managing software development projects in an IT services or technology setting.
- Good command of the Software Development Life Cycle and current software delivery methods.
- Practical exposure to predictive, Agile, or blended project management models.
- Proven ability to manage scope, budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Understanding of project finance, delivery governance, and quality assurance practices.
- Experience leading distributed teams or teams made up of multiple functions.
- German language skills at Upper-Intermediate level or above are required for client meetings, regular communication with customers and stakeholders, and preparing project documents.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with enterprise clients in the DACH region is an advantage.
- Exposure to Manufacturing, Retail, Supply Chain, or similar sectors is an advantage.
- Experience with fixed-price or outcome-based projects is an advantage.
- Project management credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or a comparable certification are an advantage.
