Role overview
Chedraui USA is hiring an experienced Purchasing Assistant for its Store Support Center at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040. This is an on-site role supporting the purchasing department and reporting directly to a buyer.
What you will do
- Prepare purchase orders when needed.
- Support the team in following purchasing procedures and track orders to help ensure deliveries arrive on time.
- Coordinate purchase order follow-ups to confirm timely delivery along with accurate pricing, terms, and product specifications.
- Maintain daily sales log updates.
- Enter and refresh cost and retail pricing information every day.
- Work closely with store directors and vendors on a regular basis to resolve follow-ups.
- Provide strong data entry assistance and support for receivers.
- Keep up with daily deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Arrange and schedule vendor appointments.
- Offer day-to-day administrative support to buyers.
Experience and education
The role calls for either an associate degree or around 2 years of relevant experience in grocery retail or scan coordination.
Compensation
Pay for this position ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. The starting rate will depend on qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
