QA Tester / Test Analyst

Key responsibilities

• Create, refine, and carry out test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Complete functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Spot software defects, record them clearly, and follow them through to closure.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other project stakeholders to confirm requirements and resolve issues.
• Review system requirements and shape suitable testing approaches.
• Retest fixes and confirm that problems are resolved before release.
• Prepare testing updates and share progress with relevant stakeholders.
• Support release activities and verify systems after deployment.
• Help improve QA practices and testing methods over time.
• Contribute to automation testing efforts where relevant.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior exposure to software testing, quality assurance, or test analysis is an advantage.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively on your own as well as within a team.
• Legal permission to work in New Zealand.
