Role Overview
The QC Chemist will support routine quality checks on materials and production outputs, ensure accurate test documentation, and help maintain compliance with laboratory procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine visual, physical, and chemical inspections of incoming raw materials.
- Prepare and collect samples from production lines for lab-based analysis.
- Run standard testing procedures using common laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Capture and maintain test results accurately in registers, batch documents, or digital systems.
- Spot quality issues or process irregularities and escalate them without delay.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate lab tools and equipment as per established protocols.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and all applicable safety requirements.
- Support senior quality control analysts during quality-related investigations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline. This is an entry-level opening suitable for candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience, including freshers. The role calls for a basic understanding of laboratory safety, measuring instruments, and data entry, along with strong attention to detail, good observation skills, and clear communication. Working knowledge of MS Office tools such as Word and Excel is expected for documentation work.
Eligibility
B.Sc in Chemistry. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related technical field may also be considered based on the role requirements.
