Role overview
Join Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow as a Receptionist and become the welcoming face of the hotel. In this front-of-house role, you will help create a strong first impression for every guest and support a smooth, positive stay experience from arrival to departure.
This position calls for someone who is naturally warm, service-minded, and comfortable engaging with hotel guests as well as visitors using the restaurants, bars, and meeting spaces.
Pay and working pattern
The role is paid at £26,436.80 per year, which works out at £12.71 per hour. It is a 40-hour week arranged across 5 days.
The hotel operates every day of the year, so the role requires flexibility to cover a variety of shifts and days. Evenings and weekends are typically busier. Shift arrangements and contracted hours can be discussed during interview.
What you will do
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional welcome and help set the tone for their stay.
- Answer guest questions and provide useful information about hotel facilities, services, and the surrounding area.
- Act as the public face of the hotel for both staying guests and visitors using the dining and meeting areas.
- Deliver attentive, high-quality service that helps make each guest visit more memorable.
Experience and skills
Previous experience in a branded hotel environment is preferred, but it is not a requirement. Full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will bring a genuine hospitality attitude, strong people skills, and enthusiasm for guest service.
Training and development
If you are seeking career development, the hotel offers nationally recognised apprenticeships alongside detailed brand training. Additional internal programmes are also available to support growth within the role.
