Reddit Community Manager

Role overview

We are hiring a Reddit Community Manager to take charge of a brand’s Reddit presence and help it expand within productivity, work-from-home, ergonomic, home office, and lifestyle communities. This position calls for someone who can shape strategy, run daily community activity, and strengthen brand awareness through real participation rather than promotional posting.

This is a high-ownership role. You will not be following an existing playbook; instead, you will define the approach, manage ongoing engagement, and help the brand build credibility, traffic, and community growth on Reddit. The ideal candidate understands Reddit behavior at a deep level, knows how to contribute in a way that feels natural inside communities, and can operate independently with minimal oversight.

What you'll be responsible for

• Design and implement engagement plans across relevant subreddit communities focused on productivity, remote work, ergonomics, home office setups, and lifestyle topics.
• Write genuine posts, replies, and discussion prompts that earn trust and participation without leaning on obvious advertising.
• Look for subreddit collaboration opportunities such as partnerships and AMA sessions, and coordinate with moderators where appropriate.
• Develop working relationships with moderators and active community members to support long-term presence and credibility.
• Reply to comments, direct messages, and brand mentions promptly and in a way that feels human and helpful.
• Maintain a steady posting rhythm that supports engagement and organic audience growth.
• Monitor relevant subreddits for conversations where the brand can contribute value in a relevant and authentic manner.
• Track brand mentions, sentiment, recurring customer themes, and product-related discussions for internal sharing.
• Spot trends and new community opportunities across Reddit.
• Prepare performance updates covering engagement, traffic contribution, and community growth.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of hands-on Reddit community management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Reddit culture, moderation practices, subreddit norms, and the behaviors that can lead to account restrictions or bans.
• Excellent written English and the ability to communicate in a voice that feels authentic and non-salesy.
• Familiarity with Reddit communities related to productivity, home offices, ergonomics, furniture, and lifestyle.
• Experience working with Reddit analytics and social listening platforms.
• Confidence working independently, generating ideas proactively, and managing a content calendar without close supervision.
• Good judgment in distinguishing meaningful participation from spam across different subreddit environments.

• Experience with tools such as Reddit Ads, Keyhole, Brandwatch, or comparable social listening software.
• Prior involvement in AMAs, either as a host or an active participant.
• Experience managing relationships across multiple subreddits at the same time.
