Role overview

This position is responsible for steering relationship-led banking activities for government and PSU clients, covering Central and State government bodies at the ministry/secretariat level.   • Translate customer needs into product inputs and collaborate with product teams to improve offerings.
  • Coordinate with financial markets, investment banking, and retail banking teams to create cross-sell opportunities for government and PSU customers.
  • Oversee management, recovery, and NPA-related actions for the assigned customer cluster.
  • Assess staffing needs and required capability levels to deliver services effectively.

Required competencies

  • Strong network and working knowledge of Government of India, state governments, PSUs, and the relationship dynamics with key bureaucratic stakeholders.
  • Experience in government banking marketing concepts, including building, launching, and scaling funded and advisory products.
