Role overview
This is a part-time, remote Research Analyst position based in Australia. The role focuses on gathering, structuring, and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative information to help drive active projects and broader strategic work.
What you will do
You will work on market and industry research, review published literature and other secondary sources, and use statistical methods to make sense of datasets. A key part of the role is turning complex findings into clear reports, summaries, and presentations that can be used by both internal teams and external stakeholders.
You will also partner with project leads to sharpen research questions, shape appropriate methods, and maintain strong data quality and accuracy throughout the research workflow.
Qualifications
- Ability to think analytically, evaluate information critically, spot patterns, and form conclusions grounded in evidence.
- Experience or knowledge of research practices and market research, including gathering information, synthesizing multiple sources, and carrying out competitive or industry analysis.
- Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive and inferential concepts, plus familiarity with common data analysis tools or software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to explain complex results in a simple way for different audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to juggle several tasks and deadlines while working remotely.
- Comfort with working on your own with limited oversight, while also collaborating virtually with cross-functional teammates.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets; exposure to analytical or visualization tools like R, Python, SPSS, or Tableau is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, in a relevant area such as Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business, Social Sciences, or a similar discipline.
