About the Company
OTI Lumionics develops advanced materials through a combination of quantum simulation, machine learning, and hands-on testing in pilot production. The company focuses on enabling materials for OLED displays destined for next-generation consumer electronics and automotive applications. Its advanced electrode materials and related manufacturing methods support transparent displays and lighting solutions. Working closely with customers and partners, the team creates new materials that are ready for mass production using a computational materials discovery platform that helps accelerate iteration and shorten development cycles.

What You Will Do
- Plan and design experiments, including tests for OLED device performance and material properties.
- Review scientific literature to support ongoing research efforts.
- Examine experimental results and present findings, highlighting key outcomes and next-step opportunities.
- Partner with software engineers by sharing feedback on possible improvements to internal programs and software.
- Diagnose issues, and work with facility engineers to repair, adjust, and commission new equipment.
- Run R&D equipment as part of day-to-day research activities.
- Prepare reports and interpret data from experiments.
- Keep laboratory spaces and equipment operating in a reliable condition.
- Support the team across multiple active projects as needed.
- Create assembly and testing documentation.
- Follow established safe work procedures and standard operating procedures in every task.
- Comply with health and safety rules, raise hazards promptly, and help maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
- Take on other assigned tasks as required.
Profile
Applicants should hold a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science & Engineering, along with more than 3 years of postdoctoral experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong background of 4+ years in advanced semiconductor device characterization and development, such as LEDs, OLEDs, and organic or perovskite solar cells.
- Practical experience with thin-film engineering and chemical or physical vapor deposition.
- Solid understanding of vacuum systems.
- Ability to manage projects independently, think critically, and deliver work against milestones.
- Knowledge of process engineering methods, including design of experiments, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
- Capability to analyze data and identify patterns, trends, and relationships across parameters.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
