About the Company

Universal DX is an international diagnostics company led by a highly experienced team working to decode cancer through advanced multi-omics and bioinformatics methods. The organization focuses on identifying disease signals in blood with high precision so cancers can be detected at earlier stages. It began with a colorectal cancer liquid biopsy screening test and is now developing a broader multi-cancer platform that can detect DNA regions linked to different cancer types.

Role Overview

Universal Diagnostics is hiring a Senior Inventory Control Coordinator to strengthen inventory operations, material movement, and inventory management processes within a laboratory setting. The role will be important in improving and expanding inventory systems that support lab work, manufacturing activity, study operations, and overall operational readiness.

This position supports shipment receiving, inventory tracking, stock arrangement, and material distribution. It also helps establish consistent workflows for inventory control, material traceability, and inventory accuracy across laboratory and manufacturing environments.

The coordinator will collaborate with Lab Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and lab teams to support compliant material handling practices and keep essential reagents, consumables, and other materials available for day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, organize inventory, and support stock replenishment activities.
  • Keep inventory data accurate, including lot information, expiration dates, storage requirements, and transaction records.
  • Help improve inventory systems and operating procedures that support laboratory and manufacturing workflows.
  • Assist with material traceability, inventory control, and accuracy checks.
  • Coordinate distribution of materials and fulfillment of requests from laboratory and manufacturing teams.
  • Track inventory levels and flag possible shortages or restocking needs in time.
  • Work with Procurement, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Lab Operations to support compliant material management.
  • Use inventory tracking platforms and related tools to manage materials and produce reports.
  • Support operational readiness, continuous improvement efforts, and adherence to lab safety and material handling standards.

Requirements

  • An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in inventory operations, workflow coordination, or material management in a laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated setting.
  • Prior experience improving inventory workflows, organizational systems, or operational processes is preferred.
  • Strong organizational ability and close attention to detail are needed to manage inventory across multiple areas.
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems, Excel, Smartsheet, ERP platforms, or inventory management software is expected; exposure to LIMS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FIFO practices and storage requirements for lab reagents, consumables, and manufacturing materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • A proactive, improvement-focused mindset is important.

Benefits

  • 22 days of paid time off, with the option to roll over up to 10 days into the next year.
  • Company holidays, including your birthday off.
  • Employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with life, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401(k) plans.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Additional benefits may be added in the future.
